Location: West Coast of Norway (Shipyard)
Start Date: ASAP (May) – URGENT
Duration: Minimum 12 weeks

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 18:00 (2 x 30 min breaks) → 50 hours/week
  • Saturday: 07:00 – 11:30 → 4 hours
  • Sunday: Off

For our upcoming projects, we are urgently looking for 15 Interior Carpenters with experience in ship interior installation.

Start-up within 1–2 weeks.

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Interior Carpenters to join our shipbuilding team. The role involves interior installation work onboard ships, ensuring all tasks meet HMS procedures, drawings, technical standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installations according to standards and guidelines
  • Interior work may include:
    • Bulkhead and deck insulation
    • Floating floors and self-levelling
    • Installation of walls, ceilings, and bottom profiles
    • Bathroom modules installation
    • Furniture installation
    • Window boxes and top coverings
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize installation tasks
  • Conduct pre-checks of work areas and review drawings
  • Identify and report conflicts with other systems
  • Coordinate with other departments (hull, paint, electro, piping, HVAC)
  • Ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards
  • Provide guidance and direction during installations


Requirements


  • Vocational education (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum spoken English level
  • Knowledge of ship interior construction and installation
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience with wall and ceiling panel installation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in furniture installation
  • Ability to use tools and follow manuals

Additional Requirements

  • Background check or security clearance may be required
