Gas Company is looking for a Vessel Field Engineerfor offshore Projects worldwide.
Mission:
▪ Provide on-site engineering services to the Project Manager or Offshore Construction Superintendent to assist in the
achievement of project objectives, according to the plan/procedures developed by the engineering project team.
Tasks:
The Engineer executes the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE
requirements.
Tasks include:
▪ Monitor construction/installation etc. progress to ensure acceptable quality of vessels operations
▪ Ensure the application of project engineering in the construction activities, in particular ensure the work offshore is prepared
and executed according to the procedures, and liaise with the Offshore Construction Manager and/or with the Project team
on the technical requirements of the project
▪ Perform all possible technical verifications on field
▪ Participate in preparation or review of installation procedures, drawings and Lift Plans
▪ Provide additional Engineering support to the Project or/and act as Project Engineer as required and when required in
offices (i.e. perform methods of installation, maintenance methods, etc.)
▪ Participate in review of tender deliverables (installation scope) such as Time Estimate, Databook and Method Statement
when required in offices
▪ Update the electronic daily progress report and utilise it to monitor and record the actual vs planned activities
▪ Monitor and compare approved construction schedule vs as-executed schedule on a daily basis
▪ Assist the Offshore Construction Manager in monitoring and reporting the progress of Project Operations against schedule
and highlight concerns/delays
▪ Assist in planning changes to operational schedule due to weather, breakdown, operational needs etc. in the most efficient
way
▪ Provide support to Project Teams, Tender Teams and Operation Managers (if applicable) when required in offices
▪ Verify sub-contractors performance and assess their operation performance
▪ Liaise with the project personnel on board to ensure smooth job preparation and field operations
▪ Provide technical interface between the construction and marine personnel on the vessel and Project(s) during tender,
planning and execution phases
▪ Perform yard activities supervision for the offshore construction
▪ Liaise with asset management for the contract monitoring of the assets
▪ Liaise with Client technical representative for all engineering matters
▪ Participate in collection and recording of as-built data / video footage
▪ Maintain records of operational performance of vessel and equipment, Maintain vessel project history file
▪ Prepare/participate in the completion of feedback reporting (lessons learnt, offshore debriefs, end of project reporting, etc.)
▪ Develop and maintain update various vessel documentation such as Vessel Specification, Standard Procedures, Standard
Lift Plans, Project History, etc.
▪ Develop and record vessel activities norms for inputting into future schedules
▪ Assist with the planning and organisation of project mobilisation and demobilisation port calls, preparing the deck / vessel
crew for loadout of project materials
▪ Participate in shift handovers, ToolBoxTalks (TBTs) and supervise shift/dive briefings
▪ Participate in project HAZIDs/HIRAs as required
▪ Actively participate in relevant training to pursue continuing professional development, in particular train / mentor junior
engineers
Requirements
- Young Graduates
- Bachelor’s (preferably Master’s) degree in
Engineering Naval, mechanical, or Civil
- Fluent in English
- 2 or 3 years of prior experience in the oil &
gas business
- Willing to start a career offshore on a
construction vessel for 3 to 5 years, then continue their career offshore
or in office (location worldwide) as Project Engineers
