Engineering Oil & Gas Company is looking for a Piping & Layout Engineer for project offshore located Qatar

Project: QMS Gladiator COMP2

Job Title: Piping & Layout Engineer

Location: Offshore Qatar

Job Description:

Mission

• Perform technical tasks assigned by the Piping and Layout Lead, related with design, verification or study activities
  
• Interface with other Project Specialists, Designers and Draftsman
  
• Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem
  

Tasks

Execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements

Tasks include:

A - Development Technology know how and Commercial support
B - Feasibility
C - Bidding phase / Commercial proposal development

• Bill of material
  
• Plot plan lay out proposal
  
• Support lead to define man hour and cost estimate
  

D - Project Execution

• Ensure the Piping and Layout engineering support to different projects
  
• Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations
  
• Analyse technical documents (e.g. specifications, calculation notes, drawings) to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks
  
• Seek solutions which can bring overall savings to the project
  
• Estimate quantities or validate estimation done by other specialist of the team
  
• Check all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, drawings under responsibility
  
• Write the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelines
  
• Ensure the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfilment of project quality requirements and contractual obligations
  
• Analyse project technical documents to validate consistency between the budget, resources and means allocated for the work completion and the targets to be met
  
• Organize the work of the team under responsibility
  
• Define and follow-up the planning of resources mobilization
  
• Monitor and report actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, includ ing control of men-hours and delivered documents
  
• Control the input data for team activities and check/review all documents issued by the team
  
• Attend to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings
  
• Provide technical support to Project group
  
• Provide technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities included in the scope of work
  
• Supervise the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations
  
• Inform on a permanent basis the Project Piping and Layout leader of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk
  
• Feed the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project
  

Requirements

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree in: Engineering

Experience: Field Engineering Experience, to support Fabrication and Commissioning activities.

Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project)

Note: Position: Piping & Layout Engineer Project: QMS Gladiator COMP 2 Location: Offshore Qatar¨ Duration: 30.06.2027 Working schedule: 7 days / 12 hours Rotation: 56 days on duty, followed by 28 days off duty Accommodation: onshore vessel, all boarding is provided Insurances: Provided by the company Salary: to be defined, overtime is included   Candidate must have offshore engineering / field experience
