Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a Field Joint Coating Technology Engineers for Offshore Worldwide Projects.

Mission:

▪ Follow the operational field joint coating related activities on the work site during the execution phase of the project.

Tasks:

The Engineer executes the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.

Tasks include:

A – Research and Development

▪ Supervise and/or organize the field joint coating related trials

▪ Perform/supervise the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

▪ Optimize the existing field joint coating equipment

▪ Provide technical assistance to the R and D department for the field joint coating equipment and materials

B – Bidding Phase

▪ Provide assistance to the Painting, Coating and Field Joint Coating Engineer in estimation of the FJC cycle time

C – Project Execution Phase

▪ Provide assistance to the Painting, Coating and Field Joint Coating Engineer in estimation of the FJC cycle time

▪ Review the received documents pertinent to the operational field joint coating works applicable to the work site

▪ Prepare the technical requisitions for supply of the working equipment and inspection equipment when the field joint coating is done by Saipem

▪ Organize the PQT and FAT trails when the FJC work shall be done by Saipem

▪ Perform the FJC PQT when FJC shall be done by Saipem

▪ If requested, supervise the field joint coating works on-board the pipe laying vessel

▪ Supervise the field joint coating works on the onshore work site

▪ Solve the technical problems related to the field joint coating operations on the work site

▪ Provide assistance to the Painting, Coating and Field Joint Coating Engineer

▪ Provide assistance to the QA/QC Representatives on the work site

▪ Prepare the production activity reports related to the field joint coating works performed on the work site (not the preparation of the QC reports)

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• 10 years’ of experience in the Offshore vessels, Healy lifting
  
• Field Joint Coating engineering Knowledge of the field joint coating materials, systems (e.g. HSS, FBE, IMPP, IMPU, etc.),
  
• application processes, technology and field joint
  
• coating equipment required by SAIPEM projects.
  
• Ability to select the proper field joint coating system
  
• and field joint coating equipment according to the received input data.
  
• Knowledge of the inspections and tests relevant to field joint coating and the limits of field joint coating systems and its equipment.
  
• Ability to prepare the various technical documents relevant to field joint coating (schedules, budget, technical and economical offer, specifications, procedures, inspection and test plans, etc.).
  
• Capability to define project scope in order to meet the needs and expectations of the interested parties (especially clients and users.).
  
• Ability to be guided and oriented to objectives and task accomplishment, producing the agreed end results, within the time-frame and budget required, and within agreed parameters of Risk, HSE , Quality. Ability to being in the same time focused on welfare and health of the workforce
  
• Capability to coordinate and effective communicate with the team, as well as with other involved departments, actors and parties.
  
• Engineering project documents management
  
• Capability to analyze engineering documents (e.g. Instruction to Tender, Saipem and subcontractor documents, etc.) identifying improvement areas in terms of cost/time optimization
  
• Engineering technical software tools User level knowledge of Corporate and Operating Center Discipline technical design software tools.
  
• User level knowledge of Corporate and Operating Center IT tools supporting business processes such as electronic document system management, procurement and office automation applications
  

 

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years as Field Joint Coating Supervisor or Mechanical Engineering Degree
  

 

Language:

• Advance ENGLISH mandatory
  
• Any other language is an advantage
