Engineering Oil & Gas Company is looking for a 1st Assistant for offshore Projects worldwide.


Mission:

▪ Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices

Tasks:

▪ Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board ▪ Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard ▪ Coordinate the construction activities during the shift and optimise all production phases ▪ Ensure that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status ▪ Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities ▪ Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production ▪ Solve matters related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet the scopes of the project ▪ Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures ▪ Motivate all construction crew/subcontractors with regards to health, safety and environment awareness ▪ Ensure the compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures, in order to perform the activities in a safe manner ▪ Report incidents and near-miss events ▪ Manage the Crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board, ROV launching and underwater operations ▪ Assist marine operations if required ▪ Provide a construction report at the end of each shift ▪ Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT ▪ Ensure the rigging gear used is within date and properly marked ▪ Report to the Offshore Construction Manager

Requirements


  • Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background
  • Fluent in English
  • 5 or 6 years of prior experience in the oil & gas business
