Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for candidates of 1^st assistant for DBA in Azerbaijan.

Mission:
Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specification, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices. 

Tasks:

- Assist the offshore construction manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board

- Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard

- Coordinate the construction activities during the sifht and optimise all production phases

- Ensure that the offshore construction manager is kept fully informed of potencial problems and construction status

- Liaise with chief mate, 2nd engineer and vessel equipment engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities

- Liaise with subcontractors' supervisors to optimize production

- Solve matters related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet the scopes of the project

- Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures

- Motivate all construction crew/subcontractors with regards to health, safety and environment awareness

- Ensure the compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures, in order to perform the activities in a safe manner

- Report incidents and near-miss events

- Manage the Crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board, ROV launching and underwater operations

- Assist marine operations if required

- Provide a construction report at the end of each shift

- Assist the vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT

- Ensure the rigging gear used is within date and properly marked

- Report to the offshore construction manager

Requirements

• Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background
  
• Fluent English
  
• 5-6  years of prior experience in the oil & gas business
  
• 3 year of experience in the role of 1^st assistant
  
• No candidates already following a maritime career
