Descripción de la oferta

Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for candidates for the position of  1st assistant  for DBA in Azerbaijan.

Mission:

Coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Projects specifications, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices.

Tasks:

-Assist the Offshore Construction Manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.

-Supervise the team of foreman and supervisor, with regard  to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard.

-Coordinate the constructions activities during the shift and optimise all production phases.

-Ensure that the Offshore Contruction Manager is kept fully informed to potential problems ans contruction status.

-Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and contructions activities.

-Laise with subcontractors´ supervisors to optimize production.

-Solve matters related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines in order to meet scopes of the project.

-Ensure that the Permit-to-Work system for construction crew is adhered to ensures that the daily Tool Box Talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the precedures.

-Motivate all constructions crew/subcontractors with regard to health, safety and environment awarences.

-Ensure the compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem QHSE policies and safety procedures, in order to perform the activities in a safe manner.

-Report incidents and near-miss events.

-Manage the crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board, ROV lauching and underwater operations.

-Assist marine operations if required.

-Provide a construction report an the end of each shift.

-Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operations and monitoring of the stinger and JLT.

-Ensure the rigging geaar used is within date and properly marked.

-Report to the Offshore Construction Manager

Requirements

• Preferably with Technical High School Diploma or Civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background
  
• Fluent in English
  
• 5-6  years of prior experience in the oil & gas business
  
• 3 year of experience in the role of 1^st assistant
  

No candidates already following a maritime career
