Engineering Oil & Gas Company is looking for a Online Surveyor for their offshore project located currently in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Mission:
Provide leadership to Offshore Survey Team and ensure that all Survey and Positioning systems onboard are correctly
prepared, tested, functional, calibrated and in safe working order / appropriately maintained
▪ Ensure that Survey Team and Survey and Positioning systems are working in compliance with contractual requirements,
project procedures and company QHSE policies/procedures to safely and effectively meet the scope of work
▪ Act as substitute for any members of the Survey team where feasible
Tasks:
Manage and support all disciplines within the Survey Team
▪ Assist the Project Surveyor with the preparation of procedures and the planning of survey activities
▪ Understand and implement project procedures and Company Work Inst ructions
▪ Have an awareness of technical and contractual aspects of the project
▪ Monitor the safe installation, testing and operation of survey and positioning equipment
▪ Ensure the keeping of an accurate inventory of all surve y and positioning equipment
▪ Supervise the execution of dimensional control and land surveys
▪ Supervise and facilitate the execution of survey and positioning system checks and calibrations
▪ Assist with the planning of vessel mobilisations/demobilisations
▪ Plan survey operations taking account of vessel / ROV operational capabilities and limitations
▪ Proactively develop or modify the work to better meet Client requirements
▪ Ensure that continuous recording of good quality survey data is maintained
▪ Monitor QC results, analysis and interpretation of survey data
▪ Ensure that clear and accurate online survey logs are maintained and records generated with clear and accurate annotation
of data
▪ Produce daily progress reports and distribute them to relevant people
▪ Produce QC project field reports
▪ Develop task plans for critical operations and implement them through tool-box talks
▪ Facilitate the investigation of faults and failures of survey and positioning systems
▪ Ensure that all personnel under own supervision follow the QHSE guidelines and requirements as defined in project specific
plan or as required by Vessel Operations Manual
▪ Develop and maintain a strong safety culture in the Survey Team
▪ Recognise risks and develop mitigation to reduce risk to an acceptable level
▪ Handle emergency situations and manage Survey Team in emergency situations
▪ Liaise and cooperate with professional marine personnel
▪ Conduct all activities following Company Procedures and Work Instructions
▪ Participate positively in safety meetings, project risk assessments and tool box talks
▪ Perform risk assessments and tool box talks in the course of day-to-day activities
▪ Adhere to Company safety, health and environmental procedures and policies
▪ Be in compliance with:
- IMCA C004 (Competence Assurance and Assessment: Offshore Survey Division)
- IMCA S005 (Academic Requirement for Surveyors Working in the Offshore Survey Sector)
Requirements
Required:
shallow water pipe-lay; anchor barge operations
Preferred: EIVA
NaviPac experience preferred; jacket installation experience (required for
later operations from November 2021)
Fluent English
