Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a Site Environmental Coordinator for their Project located in Shah, UAE.
Mission:
Co-ordinate the implementation of the Environmental Management Plans at site during project execution phases according to
the Company Environmental guidelines and standards
Ensure the management of Environmental issues for the site / field
Promote environmental initiatives at site and project level.
Tasks:
Ensure the implementation of the Environmental Management System at site in compliance with Contractor and Company
requirements;
Ensure, together with the relevant technical Functions, the implementation of Company strategies for GHGs/Climate change
and energy management at site
Manage the relevant environmental permits and monitor application;
Develop Specific Environmental Plans/Procedures (i.e. Waste/Chemical/Water Management Plan, etc.), and monitor
implementation;
Ensure protection of sensitive areas;
Develop spill prevention and response plan, monitor its implementation and ensure the implementation of the environmental
emergency exercises/drills program;
Ensuring compliance with noise and air quality requirements
Establishing an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of operations;
Take part in incident investigation;Oversee construction activities on a regular basis through inspections/walkthroughs/audits
Support Construction Manager/Site Manger in pollution prevention issues and collaborate with him to ensure fulfilment of all
requirements;
Monitor SUBCONTRACTOR's Site activities and their compliance with Project EMS;
Organize environmental training sessions and deliver trainings to Site workforce;
Ensure collection and management of lessons learned and identification of opportunities for improvement;
Prepare reports and statistics of the site environmental performance.
