Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for candidates for the position of Construction Methods Lead in Russia. 

Role Description

- Ensure that all the Fabrication & Construction Methods Activities are properly and correctly managed directly or by subordinate staff, in order to guarantee the required level of Safety & Quality while meeting budget constraints. - Provide assistance to methods engineers & supervise specialized subcontractors in developing fabrication / construction procedures, studying and defining operations ensuring structural components integrity in temporary construction phases like erection, transportation/lifting/load-out of subassemblies, developing and issuing calculations and procedures for lifting, weighing, onshore transportation, load-out and ballasting, ensuring strict compliance with HSE requirements. - Provide support to other functions including proposal & project teams (from home office during bid phase & early detailed engineering phase, then at fabrication yards & construction sites) as required/needed guiding towards, agreeing upon and implementing the most efficient and effective solutions for the fabrication/construction activities benefiting project economics, liaising with the Engineering function to ensure early integration into the Design. - Capable of acting as constructability manager, assisting project-nominated constructability coordinators & construction managers, organize and participate in design and constructability reviews in order to ensure fabrication & construction requirements (HSE & Productivity) are also integrated early into the Design. - During bid & early EPC phase; prepare requests for quotation & technical bid evaluations for the activities pertaining to SME's domain of expertise. - Participate to Construction Methods and Constructabiltiy resources recruitment process.

Tasks:

- Organize and coordinate the activities of the methods group, including tasks and workload management providing technical and administrative guidance to the subordinate staff in order to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved. - Administer the working program to ensure its implementation in accordance with plans, design and specifications. - Ensure optimum interface with other members of the Construction methods department (incl. draftsmen & engineers) and other members of the Construction & Subcontracting department (e.g. construction managers & engineers), project teams, MWS & clients as adequate. Ensure technical coordination with internal and external clients, including attendance at interface meetings. - Initiate and maintain filing system, document review and distribution, through subordinate staff. Ensure the relevant feedback and lessons learned are captured & disseminated within the methods group, while being advertised to the rest of the Onshore Construction & Subcontracting department. - Monitor and coordinate all phases of the work progress and review methods statements / procedures, reports, calculations & drawings of subordinate engineers & draftsmen, ensuring that deliverables, equipment, facilities and services meet specified requirements (putting HSE first, ensuring full compliance with international standards, while challenging clients' requirements when required for the benefit of the project). - Monitor and coordinate issuance by subordinate engineers & draftsmen of analyses (incl. structural / civil / geotechnical verifications), methods statements / procedures and associated drawings for complex operations such as heavy lifts (critical up-endings, roll-ups & the like), onshore transportations, weighing operations, load-outs (incl. strength checks, ballasting &mooring analyses) and sea transportation, as required (incl. preparation of specialized subcontractor scopes of work as appropriate.

- Participate to site visits, supervise complex operations on site (and manage them if required by project / construction management teams). Participate to associated Risk Assessment sessions / definition of HSE plans. - Provide support to the constructability engineers during bids / conceptual / FEED phases and construction managers/engineers during Detailed Engineering Phase as required (e.g. in the definition of most appropriate erection methods, fabrication / construction sequences, layouts, pre-fabrication & modularization strategies; carry out various feasibility studies, etc.)
