Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a RIG CHIEF ELECTRICIAN for an Offshore Project onboard jack-up, located in Saudi Arabia.

Mission:

▪ Ensure the correct operation of electrical systems and equipment through co-ordination of maintenance personnel in compliance with superior instructions, ensuring the respect of Quality and HSE procedures and practices.

Tasks:

▪ Be safety minded during in all works and behaviours, use compulsory protective equipment and ensure the same for subordinates.

▪ Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan.

▪ Ensure that before any maintenance activity is started, a proper risk evaluation is carried out, precautions are taken and the work permit is signed.

▪ Attend safety meetings and conduct special safety meetings with electric crew whenever necessary.

▪ Be well-informed about all relevant work and safety procedures issued by Saipem and the Operator, applying them and promoting their implementation.

▪ Promptly report any safety hazard, accident, near-miss accident and non-conformance through proper channels.

▪ Ensure good housekeeping in own working area and on the rig in general.

▪ Ensure on the job training strategy is fulfilled for subordinates and act as tutor for new staff.

▪ Instruct all staff assigned to him of their duties and responsabilities and of any special safety and environmental precaution to be taken prior to start  up any work.

▪ Check periodically the efficiency of the safety equipment and devices present on the rig site

▪ Properly maintain electrical systems, switchboards, related electrical equipment, SCR control system, EO System and all electrical instrumentation including high/low voltage and DC System as per AMOS system.

▪ Fulfill reporting routines and ensure the same is fulfilled by subordinates.

▪ Be well-informed about all the classification society and authorities rules and regulation applicable to own area of responsability.

▪ Ensure that the stock level of spare parts and consumables for the drilling equipment is kept at an appropiate level and in good condition by timely requesting the equipment whenever deemed necessary.

Contract start:	As soon as possible (notice period will be taken into consideration)
Contract duration:	30.06.2023 (renewable)
Work/leave rotation:	35 working days / 35 unpaid leave days
Working hours:	12 Hours X 7 Days a week
