Company from the Oil & Gas industry is looking for a Electrical Technician to join their offshore project in Angola.
Role Description
To ensure
a high level of Electrical Equipment availability
To adhere/comply
with all BP/Petromar Health and Safety (HSE) requirements
Task
· Carry out planned
maintenance as per BP maintenance program and to BP standards.
Carry out
corrective maintenance as requested by supervisor.
Comply with all
BP/Petromar HSE rules and regulations.
Open Permit to
Works and carry out associated risk assessments.
Provide
recommendations to improve maintenance efficiency
Carry out
commissioning and minor modifications
Provide
information on timely basis for inputting into BP Maintenance Management System
Identify critical
spares max/min levels associated with Engineering discipline
Assuring that the
work is performed as required by the contract and meets or exceeds the required
qualities.
Assuring the
acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship in the project
work.
Carrying out
construction activities such as cable installation, fitting and connection of electrical
components and checking the same to approved for construction drawings.
Monitoring the
issue of materials and the appropriate receiving report for the delivered
materials.

Requirements
- City
and Guilds (Uk) or recognized Electrical Trade Qualification
- Valid
Compex EX 1,2,3,4
- Valid
BOSIET offshore survival certificate
- A
minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance in oil/gas sector
- Fluent
English(written/spoken)
- Previous
work experience in offshore oil/gas facility
- High
level of safety appreciation
- Strong
organizational and interpersonal skills
- Responsibility,
attentiveness, diligence, accuracy in reporting
- Ability
to independently set goals and achieve targets
- Discipline Practical Skills.
